Among the severed heads (of taxidermied animals), the bartenders of Gopher Bar serve cold beer and hot chili dogs to the many regulars. This bar is affectionately called a 'complete dive,' but would you really want to admire Christmas lights in July anywhere else? The chili dogs are famously the best in the Twin Cities; it's the only thing that was worth putting on their menu, so it has to be good.

The Gopher is known for their Coney Dogs and obscene, abusive bartenders (owners). You either love it or not. The dogs come one way; take it or leave it. You'll want to take it -- they're the best in the Twin Cities. And ask about their Conceal & Carry Breakfast. And it was all I could do to keep from swearing in this review. P.S. Don't ask them if they take checks.
