Having been to Marx several times now, I realize I was right when I first walked in and thought to myself "I've got to remember this place". It is both modern and elegant, and the atmosphere is alive with good taste and good times. The food is excellent, and the portions are a tad larger than average, which is something to keep in mind while waiting. The staff are very personable as well as prompt. All around, Marx is a very enjoyable place to start to a casual to classy evening on the river.

Needless to say, I was surprised by Marx on Main Street in downtown Stillwater. In my opinion, Marx has proven itself to be a worthy competitor of the big dogs, like Chicago. The service was great. The atmosphere was modern & hip, yet comfortable and welcoming. The scallops were fresh, flavorful, & cooked to perfection. The desert may just have been the best I have had in ages. I should have known that Marx was going to knock my socks off by the line at the door. Coming from the city, I am glad to be able to find exceptional dining and a parking space all at the same time!
